The legendary Len Dawson still holds the crown for the longest-tenured quarterback in Kansas City history. "Lenny the Cool" spent 14 seasons with the franchise (1962–1975), spanning its transition from the Dallas Texans to the Kansas City Chiefs.

While Patrick Mahomes is rapidly chasing down every record in the book, Dawson’s 158 starts and 182 games played remain the gold standard for longevity in the Kingdom.
