Tributes have poured in from across the NFL after former 49ers star's tragic passing at 36.

As a rookie in 2011, Smith led the team with 14.0 sacks, second-most by a rookie in NFL history since sacks became an official statistic in 1982. A First-Team All-Pro in 2012 and 2013 Pro Bowl pick, his 19.5 sacks in year two remain the most in a single season in 49ers history. His 33.5 sacks across his first two seasons (2011-12) are the most any player has recorded through their first two years in the league.
