During Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft, Missouri linebacker Josiah Trotter was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 46th overall pick in the second round.

This selection marked a historic moment for his family, as Josiah became the second son of four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Sr. to be drafted into the NFL.

He follows in the footsteps of his older brother, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., who was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024 and won a Super Bowl in his rookie season.
