👋 Hey football fans, Week 2 is in the books, and it was a wild one. Breakouts popped, favorites flopped, and a few brutal injuries shifted the NFL landscape in a big way. With a Monday night doubleheader still ahead, let’s unpack all the chaos in this special post-game edition. Let’s huddle up… |

Prescott vs. Wilson Delivers Overtime Chaos
Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson put on a fourth-quarter show that turned Sunday’s matchup in Arlington into instant chaos. The Cowboys and Giants combined for 41 points in the final 15 minutes, trading blows until Brandon Aubrey’s 64-yard field goal sent the game to overtime. Dallas finally escaped, 40-37, in front of a stunned AT&T crowd. Here are the top highlights, in case you missed this nail-biter!
Prescott looked every bit the closer, leading two late touchdown drives with trademark poise. Wilson, though, answered with a vintage deep strike to Malik Nabers that briefly felt like the dagger. Instead, Dak carved up New York again, setting the stage for Aubrey’s career kick. It was sloppy, wild, and utterly unforgettable - a reminder that when Prescott has the ball late, the Cowboys believe they’ll finish on top.

Bills Defense Smothers Jets in 30-10 Win
Josh Allen took a shot to the nose that left him bloodied, but Buffalo barely blinked on the way to a 30-10 win at MetLife Stadium. Even without DT Ed Oliver and nickelback Taron Johnson, the Bills’ defense suffocated New York, holding the Jets to 154 total yards.
For the Jets, it was a sobering step back. After showing promise in Week 1, Justin Fields managed just 3-of-11 for 27 yards with an early fumble before leaving in the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a concussion. Outrushed and manhandled in the trenches, New York looked alarmingly like its 2024 self. Buffalo, meanwhile, exits Week 2 looking every bit like a contender that can win with depth, defense, and toughness.
Lions Roll Past Bears
The Lions answered a week of doubt with a 52-21 beatdown of the Bears at Ford Field, looking every bit like the NFC North powerhouse they’ve become. Jared Goff threw five touchdowns, three to Amon-Ra St. Brown, while Jameson Williams topped 100 yards, and the Gibbs–Montgomery duo piled up 151 yards on the ground.
For Chicago, Ben Johnson’s return was a disaster. Caleb Williams cooled after a fast start and was pulled for Tyson Bagent in the fourth quarter, while the Bears’ defense was shredded for 15 explosive plays, their most allowed in a decade. Penalties and line play remain glaring problems, and at 0-2, Chicago looks far from the finished product Johnson promised.

Which Week 2 victory was the most surprising? |

Instead of the usual single showcase, Monday Night Football serves up two games in exclusive windows. First, C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans welcome Baker Mayfield’s Buccaneers at 7 p.m. ET. Then, the spotlight shifts west as Justin Herbert leads the Chargers into Las Vegas to face the new-look Raiders at 10 p.m. ET. Two games, four quarterbacks, and plenty of storylines to close out a wild Week 2.
