Another day of training camps is officially in the books! Here are 5 key takeaways from the recent sessions:

  • Bengals 2025 first-round pick Shemar Stewart was carted off with an apparent left knee problem during 11-on-11 drills, alongside a practice scuffle involving star receiver Ja'Marr Chase. 

  • Cowboys rushers Phil Mafah and Jaydon Blue are splitting early reps for the RB2 spot behind Javonte Williams. Blue impressed with a strong 45-yard run following a Mafah fumble during the opening session. 

  • Giants WR Malik Nabers brought “aura” back to the team, successfully participating in individual drills and full-speed work following a health issue.

  • Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes participated fully in 11-on-11 team drills for the first time since he got sidelined last December. 

  • Panthers rookie wideout Chris Brazzell II sustained a moderate LCL tear and is projected to miss up to eight weeks. 

While many fans believe Ahman Green’s "Batman" nickname was born out of his physical running style in Green Bay, it actually started when he was 12 years old. A lifelong comic book superfan, Green had the iconic Batman logo shaved into his hair during Pop Warner football, prompting his youth coaches to give him the moniker.

Green successfully parlayed his reputation into a literal Hollywood credit. Because director Zack Snyder grew up a passionate Green Bay Packers fan in Wisconsin, Green built a friendship with him and lobbied for a role. He officially appears in the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. His character name was Thug 2.
