‘Ghost to the Post,’ one of the most iconic moments in tight end history, came in a 1977 AFC Divisional Playoff game. The then-Oakland Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler connected with TE Dave Casper, nicknamed “The Ghost,” on a dramatic 42-yard pass in the final seconds of regulation. The completion set up a game-tying field goal against the then–Baltimore Colts. Casper wasn’t finished there, as he later caught the game-winning 10-yard touchdown pass in the second OT, sealing one of the most memorable playoff victories in NFL history.
