The Vince Lombardi Trophy presented to the Super Bowl champions is handcrafted every year by luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. in the United States. Each version of the trophy is made from sterling silver, stands about 22 inches tall, and weighs around 7 pounds. It takes about four months and around 72 hours of skilled labor by Tiffany’s artisans to make one, at a production cost of roughly $50,000, even though its raw material value is much less. Because the NFL gives a brand-new trophy to each winning team, every champion keeps their own permanently.
