While the modern NFL is a land of giants, the record for the shortest player in league history belongs to Jack Shapiro, who stood just 5'1" and weighed 119 pounds. A star at NYU, Shapiro suited up for one official game with the Staten Island Stapletons in 1929.
Though a popular myth suggests he became a Hollywood stuntman, Shapiro actually spent his post-football years working for the U.S. Postal Service and in the garment industry, living to the incredible age of 101.
